A Run With Roots in the Region
The St. Jude Memphis to Peoria Run began in Peoria, Illinois in 1982, when Mike McCoy and Gene Pratt set out to raise money for St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. What started as a relay run from Memphis back to Peoria has grown into one of the foremost charity running events in the nation, having raised over $27 million and counting. This golf outing is one of the ways local communities rally around that mission every year.
Supporting Local Runners and a Lifelong Cause
This year's outing supports three Memphis runners with deep ties to the St. Jude community: Mallory Beoletto, Daniel Hopping, and Brenda Shawgo. Mallory, Daniel, and Brenda have each been involved with St. Jude events for more than 20 years. Mallory's connection runs especially close: she is a former St. Jude patient who has benefited firsthand from the generosity of events like this one. All proceeds go directly to the St. Jude Memphis to Peoria Run, helping families facing childhood cancer and other life-threatening diseases.

How You Can Get Involved
Grab your team and come golf fore the kids. The event is set for June 26, 2026 at Wee-Ma-Tuk Hills Country Club in Cuba, IL. Registration opens at 10:30 a.m., lunch is served at 11:00 a.m., and a shotgun tee-off gets underway at noon. Teams of four are $400 ($100 per player), with the fee covering lunch, cart, golf, and prizes. Every dollar goes directly to the St. Jude Memphis to Peoria Run.

The runners of the St. Jude Memphis to Peoria Run start at St. Jude in Memphis and finish at the St. Jude Midwest Affiliate in Peoria, Illinois, truly going the extra mile for the kids of St. Jude with every step they take.
